How to use trade signs
Trade signs allow for players to exchange DC and items between each other without requiring the seller to be online during the transaction. To use trade signs, both players must have their account linked to Osolia Unite. To learn how to link your account, see this article.
Trade signs are identifiable by the blue [Trade] text on their first line. As a customer, simply right click on the trade sign to use it. The items/DC will be stored by the sign and can be retrieved by the seller by right clicking it.
To create a trade sign where customers exchange DC for items, place down a sign and follow these instructions:
Line 1: Must be '[Trade]' (excluding the quotation marks)
Line 2: The price
Line 3: The item you're selling
Line 2 formatting: '$#'
A dollar sign followed by a number for how much DC the item will cost.
Line 3 formatting: '# itemname:#'
A number for how many of the item is being sold at a time, space, the name of the item (see the next paragraph for more details), colon (no space), and a number for how many of the item you have in stock (it will take this from your inventory).
To find an item's name, use the /itemdb command. This command will take the item in your hand and tell you all of the possible names for it. It is recommended to use the shortest one, since there is a bug with the longer names that prevents the sign from being initialized properly. If you encounter this bug with the shortest name possible for your item, please let a server admin know, and they'll add a shorter name to the list.
It is also possible to create trade signs where customers exchange items for DC. Here is the formatting for that:
Line 1: Must be '[Trade]' (excluding the quotation marks)
Line 2: The item you're buying
Line 3: The price
**Line 2 formatting: '# itemname' **
A number for how many items you want to buy at once, followed by the item in question.
Line 3 formatting: '$#:#'
A dollar sign, a number for how much DC will be given, colon, and a number for how much DC the sign will store to fulfill payments.
